Sandy Springs UMC Touch-A-Truck Event

For the past four years, we have participated in a community family event that is put on by the Sandy Springs United Methodist Church.  Each year, the Church invites local businesses to display their trucks, and to give the children who are attending a chance to get on and play in all the big trucks.

This year’s event was attended by over 800 people.  Doug Herbert brought his daughter Ella, son Hage, and one of the company’s boom trucks for display.  The event is a fundraiser for the Church’s preschool, which offers scholarships to help families afford preschool for their children.  It always feels great to be able to give back to the community, and even more so when it involves smiling children!

Last month I brought my daughter, Ella, and one of our boom trucks to a charity Touch-A-Truck event. It was for the Sandy Springs United Methodist Preschool program. The fundraiser successfully raised money for their scholarship fund – for families that cannot afford preschool.

It was a beautiful day and there was a fabulous turnout of families from the community. The kids had a great time climbing in the various trucks, turning on the lights and honking the horns. This is the second time we have participated in this fun event.
